Wednesday Stamper
This fortnight’s theme for Wednesday Stamper is Two tone. I think of this as a challenge to limit your creation to using 2 colors or two shades of one color. To me the ultimate 2 tone creations are those in black and white. I love black and white photography and just wish i had more time to play around with some of the great features on photoshop. Somerset Studio has an upcoming issue on black and white which I am really looking forward to seeing how people get creative with. Are black and white colors?? Hmmmm not sure about the answer to that. Let me know what you think.
My second atc explores the use of 2 different shades of one color. Quite hard to do when you really put your mind to it. I wanted to use black so bad because I think it would have made the atc a lot more interesting but I stuck to my guns!! I guess I did cheat a little and snuck in that lovely shade of dark green which is some handmade paper I added at the end. It just looked too bare without it!LOL. Click on over and join in the challenge!!!!

Your examples are fab! Black and white is the easier option, isn’t it? But your greens are lush… and I know what you mean about wanting to use black… I struggled to keep to browns!!

Well I am still not sure I did mine correct but I was told when I took so many painting classes that Black isn’t a color but still wasn’t sure.
I did a google and this is what I came up with:
Black is the absence of color (and is therefore not a color)
Explanation:
When there is no light, everything is black. Test this out by going into a photographic dark room. There are no photons of light. In other words, there are no photons of colors.
2. White is the blending of all colors and is a color.
Explanation:
Light appears colorless or white. Sunlight is white light that is composed of all the colors of the spectrum. A rainbow is proof. You can’t see the colors of sunlight except when atmospheric conditions bend the light rays and create a rainbow. You can also use a prism to demonstrate this.

I did use 2 colors but I don’t count black & white as colors myself…..and Barbara explained why…white is a combo of all the light colors so is not really a single color….and black is the absence of light…that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it….so anyhooooo
I love your cards! I bet that limey green is really pretty in person…
